Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. CovertSwarm takes a zero-tolerance approach to it, in our own business and across our supply chains. This page summarizes how we put that into practice. Our full policy is available to download below.

Our commitment

We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in every business relationship, and to maintaining effective systems and controls that stop modern slavery from taking place anywhere in our business or supply chains. We are also committed to being transparent about our approach, in line with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Who this applies to

Our policy applies to everyone working for us or on our behalf. That includes employees at all levels, directors, contractors, consultants, agency workers, interns, agents and business partners.

What we expect from our suppliers

We expect the same high standards from every contractor, supplier and partner we work with, and we expect them to hold their own suppliers to those standards too. We communicate our zero-tolerance approach to every supplier at the start of our relationship and reinforce it throughout.

Where appropriate, and with the welfare and safety of workers as the priority, we support suppliers to address exploitative practices in their own businesses and supply chains. If a supplier or partner breaches our policy, we may end our relationship with them.

Training and awareness

Training on this policy, and on the modern slavery risks in our supply chains, is part of the induction process for everyone who works for us. Managers are responsible for making sure their teams understand and follow it.

Raising a concern

Anyone who works with us is encouraged to raise a concern about modern slavery as early as possible, at any tier of our supply chain. We support everyone who raises a concern in good faith, even if it turns out to be mistaken, and no one will suffer detrimental treatment for doing so.

If you have a concern, contact us. All reports are treated confidentially.

You can also contact the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline on 08000 121 700, or call 999 if someone is in immediate danger.
