About Jayson

Jayson E Street is CovertSwarm’s Swarm Fellow: the ethical hacker who walked into banks and government facilities on five continents without getting stopped. Not for show. To prove that organizational security assumptions are predictable when you know how to look.

Since joining the Swarm in February 2026, Jayson advises our ethical hacker teams on full-spectrum attack methodology, mentors on physical security and social engineering techniques, and helps prove constant cyber attack isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s the only honest answer to how adversaries actually operate.

His background isn’t just digital. It’s everything. 20+ years of physical penetration testing across banks, biochemical facilities, hotels, and government buildings. 100% success rate (except that one time in Beirut when he accidentally robbed the wrong bank). His philosophy: “I don’t do red team engagements, I create teachable moments.”

As DEF CON Groups Global Ambassador, he bridges the central DEF CON organization with hundreds of local hacker chapters worldwide. He’s been called a “notorious hacker” by FOX25 Boston, a “World Class Hacker” by National Geographic’s Breakthrough series, and a “Change Agent” by the Pentagon’s Director of Counter Intelligence. He prefers: Hacker, Helper, Human.

Jayson is the author of the Dissecting the Hack trilogy, required reading at seven colleges across four countries. He’s spoken in over 50 countries at DEF CON, Le Hack, GISEC, and even at the Pentagon on his revolutionary Situational Awareness training. He’s autistic, something he discusses openly, crediting it with giving him an “outsider’s eye” for exploiting human behavior patterns most people take for granted.

When he’s not bypassing firewalls by bypassing receptionists, Jayson explores the world and reminds everyone:  “I never let reality get in the way of me trying to accomplish something.”
