AI SECURITY and Agentic Systems

The threat is AI. So are we. CovertSwarm’s AI red teaming attacks your defenses the way an AI-equipped adversary would. Then it hunts the vulnerabilities inside your own AI systems. Powered by RAID, our dedicated AI division. Human-led. AI-augmented.

AI has collapsed the barrier between intent and capability.

Operations that once required specialist skills and significant resources can now be executed by a single actor with access to an offline model. Ransomware. Scaled social engineering.

Automated reconnaissance and exploit chaining. AI has made all of it faster, cheaper, and more accessible. Your security program was built to handle a different threat. The Swarm tests whether it can handle this one.

A brightly lit glass office meeting room beside a long, empty, dimly lit corridor, evoking the unguarded physical access gap that physical security testing exists to catch.

Speed is the new advantage.

AI turned two weeks of reconnaissance into less than a day. Your attackers are already operating at that speed.

The threat has already upgraded.

Every technique the Swarm uses reflects what real adversaries are deploying right now, not three years ago.

AI fighting AI.

RAID, CovertSwarm’s dedicated AI division, brings machine-scale adversarial capability to every engagement from day one.

we COVER BOTH SIDES OF THE THREAT.

Real attackers are not waiting for your AI strategy to mature. They are using AI against your infrastructure today, and probing the AI systems you have already deployed. The Swarm operates across both.

AI-augmented offensive operations

Attackers now operate at machine speed, scaling reconnaissance and chaining exploits faster than any human team can match. The Swarm tests whether your detection and response capability was calibrated for that reality.

AI-assisted social engineering

Deepfake impersonation, AI-generated spear-phishing, and voice synthesis have made the pretext indistinguishable from the real thing. When human verification becomes the only layer left, we test whether it holds.

Adversary simulation using AI tactics

AI-enabled attack chains now run in hours rather than weeks, with automated lateral movement and accelerated exfiltration built in. We emulate those tactics, techniques, and procedures against your environment before a real threat actor does.

Prompt injection and LLM application testing

Direct prompt injection overrides your system instructions. Indirect injection hides inside the documents and data sources your AI reads. We test both and find the trust boundaries your LLM application does not enforce.

Agentic AI security testing

Autonomous agents that browse, execute code, and call APIs introduce failure modes that conventional scanning was never built to catch. We test tool misuse, privilege escalation, and indirect injection across every channel the agent reads.

AI coding tool security

Your development team’s AI tools have become an attack surface most organisations have not yet mapped. We test for malicious MCP servers, rule file backdoors, and poisoned repository context before your engineering pipeline becomes the entry point.

We know that real attack surfaces don’t come in neat categories. If yours doesn’t fit above, tell us what you’re working with.

What aN AGENTIC SYSTEM Finding Looks Like

Finding

RAID’s web testing agent identified an unauthenticated GraphQL endpoint in a retail subscription platform where custom actions bypassed the authentication controls protecting auto-generated queries. The trust boundary did not extend to custom operations on the same endpoint.

Impact

Customer PII was exposed across seven operations through an endpoint accessible without authentication. The retail platform had no prior visibility of the exposure.

Remediation

Apply consistent authentication enforcement across all GraphQL operations including custom actions. Audit all API endpoint authentication boundaries and treat custom actions as equivalent-trust endpoints rather than assuming inherited controls.

Stories from the Swarm

These stories are real, but the names are deeply redacted. We’ll tell you how we uncovered the threats no one else could see, and why constant cyber attack is the best way to outpace cyber threats.

Frequently asked questions

What is AI red teaming?

AI red teaming is the practice of using artificial intelligence to augment offensive security operations, simulating the tactics, techniques, and speed of real-world adversaries. Where traditional red teaming relies entirely on human operators, AI red teaming introduces agents that handle high-volume, repetitive attack tasks at a scale and pace no human team can match alone. The result is a more consistent, more comprehensive test of your defenses.

What is prompt injection and how do you test for it?

Prompt injection is an attack technique in which adversaries craft inputs that cause large language models to ignore their intended instructions and execute unintended actions. It is ranked #1 on the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications 2025. Direct injection targets the model interface. Indirect injection is more dangerous — malicious instructions hidden in documents, emails, or web pages that the AI reads as part of its normal operation, with no user interaction required. The Swarm tests both, mapping every data channel your AI system reads and injecting through each one.

Is RAID a replacement for human red teamers?

No. RAID exists to make CovertSwarm’s human operators more effective, not to replace them. The agents handle reconnaissance, enumeration, and surface mapping at speed and scale. That frees the operators to focus on what still requires human judgment: lateral thinking, chained exploits, and the kind of creative adversarial reasoning no model can replicate. The combination is what raises the quality floor. Neither works as well without the other.

How does RAID integrate with Constant Cyber Attack?

RAID is not a separate product or add-on. It is embedded in how CovertSwarm delivers Constant Cyber Attack. When you subscribe, RAID’s agentic capability is already part of every engagement from day one. You do not need to request it or configure it separately.

Which frameworks does AI security testing align to?

For AI system testing: OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications 2025 (prompt injection, data leakage, agentic failures) and MITRE ATLAS (adversarial threat intelligence for AI and ML systems). For AI-augmented offensive testing: MITRE ATT&CK framework. All engagements are delivered by CREST-accredited practitioners. In the US: NIST AI Risk Management Framework.

What is the difference between AI red teaming and testing my AI systems?

These are two related but distinct disciplines. AI red teaming means using AI tools to test your broader security defenses by running attacks at machine speed and scale against your infrastructure. Testing your AI systems means adversarially probing the LLMs, agents, and AI-integrated applications you have deployed by finding the prompt injection vulnerabilities, data leakage paths, and agentic failure modes that live inside your AI stack. The Swarm does both, with RAID as the specialist division behind the AI-augmented capability.

How does AI security testing relate to regulatory requirements?

NIST AI RMF provides the primary US governance framework for AI risk management. Individual states and sectors are introducing their own AI governance requirements, and federal agency guidance on AI testing continues to evolve. CovertSwarm’s AI security testing is designed to produce the technical evidence base that governance and compliance frameworks increasingly require.
