About Tony
An offensive security company has no excuse for weak security at home. At CovertSwarm, that responsibility sits with Tony Law. He joined as Head of IT & Security in March 2024, and he leads the company’s internal IT and information security. He also develops and delivers its enterprise technology roadmap.
CovertSwarm’s workforce is fully remote, so there’s no office perimeter to lean on. Security has to travel with every person and every device. Tony strengthens identity security, endpoint protection, cloud security and information security governance. He improves IT service delivery, operational resilience and automation, keeping the environment secure and effective for people wherever they work. On AI, his focus is secure adoption, backed by governance, risk assessment and technical controls.
Tony brings over 30 years in enterprise IT infrastructure, cybersecurity and technology leadership. Before CovertSwarm, he held senior technology leadership roles at international organizations including Gallagher, IQ-EQ, Augentius and Toshiba Electronics Europe, leading infrastructure, engineering, architecture and technology transformation. His experience covers enterprise architecture, cloud security, identity and access management, IT operations, and technology integration after mergers and acquisitions. He is CISSP certified and studied at Queen Mary University of London.
Outside work, Tony has been a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society since 2005.

A configured control isn't necessarily a control that works. Attackers don't need sophisticated exploits when the basics are missing, and weaknesses that each look low risk can combine into a path to sensitive information.

Nation-state cyber threats no longer stop at government and defence. Here's what makes these attackers different, and what it actually takes to raise the bar against them.

The cloud gives businesses scalability, agility, and built-in resilience. But it’s created a dangerous illusion: that moving workloads to SaaS platforms and managed services automatically makes them secure. Reality: the cloud doesn’t erase risk, it shifts who holds responsibility. You…
